Dr. Werner is currently seeking motivated graduate (or exceptional undergraduate) students interested in research and mentorship experience in the area of applyingAi??Human Factors to Health Care Systems.Ai?? Dr. Werner is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Industrial Engineering, a Discovery Fellow in the Living Environments Lab in the Wisconsin Institute for Discovery, a Core Faculty in the Center for Quality and Productivity Improvement and an Affiliate Faculty at the VA Hospital.Ai??She combines these resources to conduct research applying Human Factors to improve the care of older adults in the home.Ai??Specific projects will be focused onAi??the clinicalAi??aspectsAi??of improving transitional care across health care settingsAi??and designing technologies and improving care processes for informalAi??caregivers in the home.Ai?? Human Factors applications are broad,Ai??with both macro ergonomic and cognitive applications -manyAi??exciting possibilities!Ai??Ai??
